Within the dog areas (throughout the whole year) and at the beach (from 01.10. until 31.03.), the dog can be off-leash, but has to be under total control of the dog owner.

To every dog owner: Show respect, take a little bag along and remove the dog dirt. Ask for free bags at the tourist information, they have a limited number of them.

Please remember that people and animals in nature may be frightened by dogs. Especially breeding birds may feel disturbed.

If your dog is off the leash in the areas of ”Natur- og Skovstyrelsen”, the staff is authorized to call the police. In this case, you are charged for a minor offence .
