You can romp in the refreshing sea, play games on the beach, fly a kite, wind surf, play with mussels, take a turn at beach sailing or on horse back. This is also Rømø, but on a summer day where the code word is active relaxation for old and young alike with time for a rest, perhaps with a picnic basket, sheltered from the wind in the sand dunes. What can be more wonderful than waking up to the smell of the fresh sea air? Only a refreshing plunge in the sea just some meters away. 

      

Rømø has been created by the sand, the wind and the water, and you will find the finest sand in your sandals when you get home after spending a long and active day out in the open. Maybe you even get to see the sun setting over the North Sea, and then you have had your fill.
The grandiosity of nature on the island, the enormous beaches together with the sea bring out the desire in most of us to play and romp. You can race along in a Kitebuggy with the wind giving you speed, you can surf on the waves with the sea as your partner. You can bring out the art performance in kite flying, experience the kite festival in September, bicycle or ride right round the island along splendid natural pathways – or you can just rest and sunbathe in the generous sunshine and get a tan in no time.
